This is just one of the endless outrages and hypocrisies associated with this war. One of the many war crimes ignored by the West as Israel pursues it genocidal campaign in Gaza.
So far the Gaza War as resulted in something like 140 dead journalists with at least 50 more injured by Israeli weapons. In many cases the journalists have been targeted if not simply assassinated.
When one thinks of how Russia condemned for killing journalists and dissenters, how can you not laugh? How can Western media retain any credibility?
The same could be said in Latin America. There have been so many journalists and activists killed by states (often allied with Washington) who were threatened by their exposure of state and corporate crimes.
Of course in the case of Israel, the bullets and bombs are made in America and Washington supports these policies and the larger agenda. So while Americans race around trying to finish their Christmas shopping, open their presents, and watch sappy movies - and keep the US economy going, their tax dollars fund genocide and no one cares. Instead we're encouraged by Church leaders about how to have the most 'meaningful' Christmas. It's obscene.
