When considering the recent government sanctioned UFO reports, one is left wondering if a leak wasn't imminent. Was this damage control, an attempt to head off a 'scoop' brought by some whistleblower? Or was pressure building in some corner of the bureaucracy and finally it was agreed that the report would be released.
And released it was but what has been interesting is that it
has been utilised by the American military-industrial establishment (and its
media assets) as a means of propaganda and scare-tactics.
The reports are agnostic regarding the nature of the UFO's
but it's clear the public is being prompted to fear – not something
extraterrestrial per se but rather something in the high-tech realm. It's being
used as an excuse for a new arms race. The US government can't point to China
and Russia as the sources for these science-defying craft but there's the
constant hint and subtle suggestion that maybe, just maybe the adversaries of
the United States have developed some kind of cutting edge technology.
One is reminded of the 1960 Kennedy presidential campaign and
the phony 'Missile Gap' he wielded to argue that the Eisenhower-Nixon
administration had somehow been remiss and even derelict. There was of course
no missile gap. The US had a clear and overwhelming advantage and would
continue to do so for some years to come.
In other words don't buy into the propaganda. The government
is trying to scare the public about the Chinese and Russian threat.
However once one dispenses with the nonsense, the actual
footage and evidence can be considered – and it's both fascinating and maybe
even a little disturbing.
It raises other questions about these UFO's – what are they?
Though many Christians shirk at the suggestion and recoil at the thought of
being labeled as quacks by the mainstream of society, a careful study reveals
that the evidence points not to entities from distant planets but something far
more profound and metaphysical. They seem to be interdimensional craft (and
beings) and in fact while this topic is subject to abuse and indeed has been
greatly abused by some – there is the suggestion that space, deep space, and
many of the other assumptions about it (what it is and how it works) may not in
fact be correct.
For my part I believe they are of a supernatural and
celestial order – demonic as it were though that can mean different things in
different contexts. Is this part of the massive civilisational shift that we're
living through – a setting of the stage and the laying of groundwork for some
future large-scale deception? It very well could be. Are these forces we've
seen at work throughout history and what's different at the present is the way
they are manifested – a form appropriate to the nuclear and technological age
one might say?
So much more could be said about this topic and I expect very
little truth or true insight to come from the materialist and mammon-dominated
mainstream. But for now the question that really burns in my mind is this – why
this report now? Why was it released at this moment?
And along with that it must be acknowledged that a
significant line has been crossed. For the first time the state is revealing
something on this topic. Why?
And I hardly consider
it stretch to assert that surely this is but the tip of the iceberg.
There's little more to say at this point but obviously it's a
topic that warrants our attention – our careful attention. Its implications are
far-reaching. We need to understand the moment we're living in – a new order is
being formed. I don't say this as a Dispensationalist looking for barcodes
under every rock and trying to stretch every news event to fit into some
tortured reading of Biblical prophecy. Rather I say it as one who is looking at
the big picture and trying to discern where things are at in terms of Beasts
and the False Church and in terms of even more basic questions concerning
epistemic assumption and the nature of deception. These shifts will not just
affect the culture. They will affect the Church as well.
