We already knew Jordan 'JD' Hall was far afield in terms of New Testament Christianity. For him Christianity is a confused construct of America, guns, and some kind of truncated cowboy cheap-grace gospel. To practice one's piety you spread spin and lies and do so by means of creating a click-bait factory. When I see the posters promoting filth like 'God, Guns, and Trump', I think of JD Hall and the poor lost souls that follow him.
Hall was recently in the news, though I noticed the Christian
websites quickly kicked the story to what is their equivalent of the back page.
Hall was picked up for a DUI – though it later turned out that he wasn't drunk,
but rather suffering some kind of vitamin deficiency. His apologists have tried
to focus on this fact – that he was wrongly arrested.
Fine, I don't care about that. It was a mistake. What is
salient to me is the fact that he goes around armed (while acting unstable and
deranged) and had just hours earlier made threats with regard to the Southern
Baptist Convention meeting that was to soon take place in California. Here's an
armed guy – a pastor and Christian leader, insisting that he control the
microphones, and threatening to sue anyone who resists him.
Where to begin? He castigates those who don't follow the
Scripture but it's clearly an unknown Book to him. The Sermon on the Mount is
patently something he rejects. And while I would argue the New Testament
forbids all lawsuits, it explicitly condemns Christians suing other Christians
in the world's courts. When Paul says the weapons of our warfare aren't carnal
but spiritual – these words have no meaning to Hall.
He thinks the Kingdom is built with threats, guns, armies,
and lawyers. He hasn't a clue as to what the New Testament teaches. He's a
false shepherd who has no business leading a congregation and handling the Word
of God. I've documented only a few instances of this which can be found in the
links below. It's just the tip of the iceberg. I could literally write a daily
counter- or rebuke to everything this guy and his allies produce. He's a
disgrace and apparently so is his congregation because they don't have enough
sense to see what this guy is.
This is what we've come to. Some deranged evil fanatic is
running loose in the Church threatening people with guns (for that's what
wearing a gun is), and lawsuits (which is calling on the state to use its
threat of violence for you to get your way) – and people are tolerating it and
cheering it on.
The SBC is of course a highly corrupt organisation and its deep
corruption and criminality has recently been exposed. But this in no way
exonerates the behaviour of Hall. The SBC needs to clean out its filth but it
can start with a really easy one – it needs to condemn JD Hall.
And let this be a warning. This is where things are headed.
This isn't just the idolatry of Christo-Americanism. This is Christo-Trumpism.
This is fascism come into the Church. Hall would be shocked at the charge but
that's because like so many of his ilk he doesn't actually know what fascism is
or where it comes from. He doesn't know the Scriptures, doesn't understand the
genesis and pedigree of the ideas that dominate him. I'm sorry to say it but
this is probably just a drop in the bucket. There are many more JD Halls on the
loose, and more being radicalised all the time.
No doubt many readers will have already seen this video of
Greg Locke:

One need not agree with TYT or the provided commentary. The
clip of Locke is more than sufficient and it has generated some controversy
within Evangelical circles.
In some respects I have to wonder why? He's only saying aloud
what many people already believe. He's simply presenting it in the form of a
tirade. But the assumptions are already pretty mainstream and he's clearly cut
from the same cloth of figures like JD Hall. We see the same kind of confusion
born of sacralist thinking along with the pronoun chaos – functionally equating
the United States with the Church and Kingdom. His ideas fall well within the
purview of Dominionism. He's simply taking the gloves off, dispensing with the
niceties, and is an embodiment of the principle that politics is war before the
guns start firing. In America, politics has almost run its course. Political
Christianity has always been about violence. This is what it is by definition
and yet so few understand this. Dominionists want the state to enforce
Christianity – court orders and legislation that are enforced by men with
badges and guns, punishing, caging, and killing those who do not conform. It
hasn't worked and so now the next stage is at the doorstep – street violence
and ultimately civil war.
Are the Democrats evil? I have no problem saying that but I
would say the same about the GOP and especially men like Locke and Hall. Fine,
they don't want to abort babies and they don't support the gays. That's great,
but there are so many other things they stand for that are wicked and contrary
to the New Testament that they have no Christian standing either. And here's
the thing so few people understand... Ocasio-Cortez, Pelosi, and Schumer have
no influence in terms of the Church. No one is confusing their ideas with
Christianity.
But what about JD Hall and Locke?
So the question is this – spiritually speaking, who is more
dangerous?
I hope the answer is obvious. And for those who don't think
or refuse to see that Locke and Hall are promoting violence and that the road
they're on leads to bloodshed – you're willfully blind and you need to open
your eyes. These liars and heretics already have blood on their hands.
If you're in a church with one of these men in the pulpit –
you need to leave. If there are men and families like this in the pews – you
had better address it and if the leaders won't do anything about it, you
probably need to go. You don't want to be associated with these people. You
don't want to be on a list with them when the state comes knocking, and by
associating with them, you're destroying your Christian testimony to society at
large.
Dobson recently called for Christians to get their kids out
of the public school – now! He's right. The only problem is he's about forty
years too late. But when it comes to Christo-Trumpism, if it's in your church
and in your pulpit, get your family out – now!
These people are deceived and dangerous. They teach sin, and
call righteousness sin and are on the road to Hell. This is but another form of
apostasy.
