Site Update

To my readers:

I apologise for the diminished output and lack of site activity as of late. I experienced a computer catastrophe and lost several articles I was working on. 

My thirteen year old computer is failing and becoming very difficult to use and as a consequence I purchased a reasonably priced refurbished model. It crashed and died within two weeks. I normally back up my work on a fairly regular basis but had not yet backed up anything on the new computer. The motherboard died and the hard drive was effectively erased – wiping out many hours of work. Many more hours were lost in attempts at repair and recovery. It was pretty disappointing. Hopefully the trying of my patience and a good lesson in this life's futility had a sanctifying influence.

Now I'm back to my old computer and hoping to find something decent in the near future.
