Christians Aiding the Trump Cover-Up

After all the efforts to cover up Trump's connections to Jeffrey Epstein, the GOP base and now the White House have capitulated. What has already been revealed is telling and yet not in the least surprising. We already knew what Trump was.

And we'll see whether or not Pam Bondi intervenes and withholds documents due to 'pending or ongoing investigations'. It was no accident that Trump ordered to start investigating Clinton and others in conjunction with his seeming capitulation.

But why are the Christians in Congress chief agents in this cover-up? Until everything broke with Marjorie Taylor Greene that was certainly the case. And though the Trump White House failed to convince 'Christian' congressmen (and Evangelical tarts) Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace, up to this point they have all backed him throughout this episode.

Mike Johnson has been the chief agent in the attempted cover up to the point of blocking the swearing in of Arizona's Adelita Grijalva.

Some have argued the federal government shut-down was at least in part about blocking the release of the Epstein files. Of course along the way, the GOP did all it could to sabotage SNAP and the ACA - programmes they've long wanted to eliminate. Thank you Mike Johnson, my health care premiums jumped 700% - it's not a little painful. Basically my solution is this - don't go to the doctor.

Karoline Leavitt another supposed Christian has continued to play a part in the series of lies and obfuscations connected to the cover-up.

And let's not forget Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins, the lone Republican who even after Trump's reversal still voted to block the release of the Epstein Files. No doubt his great concern for Christendom (as he has previously expressed) led him to continue facilitating the cover-up. We can all be impressed by his high moral standards - his affiliations with militia groups, celebration of violence and White supremacy. And of course he holds family values in such high esteem (since he's had four of them) and so I guess given that he also likes to be violent with women - he might consider the Epstein affair to be unworthy of public attention of further investigation. I'm afraid it doesn't speak well of his district in Louisiana that these people (many of whom are professing Christians) would continue to vote in this degenerate. And whatever church he attends - you can mark it down as apostate if it happily harbours the likes of him.

The vote by the House to release the files is no moral victory or grant of standing. They only voted that way because Trump finally acquiesced - and yet I think his team is not done in trying to spin and block the story. We'll know more in coming days.

There's a huge irony here - and one thinks of Marjorie Taylor Greene and those like her. I'm speaking of QAnon and this whole narrative about 'Draining the Swamp' and how Trump had to be elected in order to protect the children - not to mention the various Pentecostal 'prophecies' concerning him.

How do they feel now that they've found out that Trump is the swamp and he's part of the same degenerate class that exploits children - not to harvest adrenochrome but for debauchery as indeed everything points to the fact that he's a lecher and a deviant. We already know he's a serial adulterer, rapist, criminal, murderer, and a pathological liar.

And once again all of this points to the fact (and is but one of many elements) that American Evangelicalism is functionally apostate.

Today, I'm hearing on Christian radio how Nicki Manaj is a Christian Rapper. If she's a Christian, then the term is meaningless - just like the term Evangelical.

But I'm not surprised by any of this. It's a long time coming.

The other aspect of the Epstein story that remains compelling is the media cover-up. Why do they continue to ignore his large-scale diplomatic role, his connections to Israeli intelligence, Ghislaine Maxwell's intelligence background and connections, and Epstein's rather impressive banking connections?

We're told Virginia Giuffre committed suicide and maybe she did - though some of her family has doubts. The last few weeks of her life are rather bizarre and aspects of the story remain unexplained. We were also told Epstein committed suicide - a story about as convincing as the suicides of figures like Danny Casolaro, Dorothy Kilgallen, Michele Sindona, Roberto Calvi, and Deborah Palfrey, the DC Madam.

This scandal continues to grow and yet what has been revealed so far is just the tip of the iceberg. If it ever fully comes out, what then will these supposed Christians say? How will they justify the part they played in the cover-up? Have they no shame? Have they sense of decency?
