This story makes one's head spin. Peace activists opposing
German policy and state support for Ukraine (especially in light of Germany's
history with Russia) are now being punished by laws that ostensibly would have
been drafted to silence Nazis and Neo-Fascists in the post-war setting.
By opposing German militarism and support for Ukraine, the
charges (and now verdict) suggest that the peace activist in question was
publicly supporting and encouraging a war
of aggression. In a form of tortured logic because he's not supporting
Ukraine, he therefore is supporting Russia and now is guilty of encouraging
such actions.
The Orwellian character of this story and the connected
jurisprudence is further amplified by the fact that the events in questions
took place back in June 2022, on the eighty-first anniversary of Barbarossa.
These activists are pleading with the public to 'stop' and think about what is
happening as the West (through NATO expansion and now proxy war) is effectively
seeking to capture and appropriate the same lebensraum
lands that Hitler tried to take, and now many in the West (in addition to
openly collaborating with WWII-connected fascist elements connected to the Kyiv
regime), openly admit:
1. That the Ukraine Conflict is a proxy war.
2. That NATO is at war with Russia.
3. Putin should be assassinated, and
4. That regime change in Russia is the goal as well as the
dismantling of the Russian Federation.
Even as these activists plead for a stop to this militarist madness
and mass deceit, they are being charged with what is effectively militarist
warmongering of the fascist variety. They are being targeted with laws that
would have been crafted to stop fascist activism in the streets and other forms
of public agitation.
But these people are arguing for peace and an end to the war.
The war would not be happening at all if it were not for NATO expansion, and
NATO's funding and arming of the conflict.
It's a real eye-opener I think and it demonstrates once more
that war abroad always means war on the citizenry at home. Germany is once more
under censorship or so it would seem – even as its tanks prepare to engage the
Russian army once again. It's also been interesting to note how this story has
been suppressed. Mainstream outlets won't cover it and discussions about it are
shut down by moderators. If you don't accept the official line about this war –
then you're basically reckoned an extremist.
I think we all knew that, but this is a hint of what that's going to mean in the days ahead.
