Christian Radio, Deceitful Stunts, and Distortions of Reality

The other day I was working within range of the American Family Radio (AFR) signal and I caught some of Todd Herman's show. He suggested the globalists had taken over American foreign policy and that the United States had been actively involved in the manipulation of Ukrainian politics. He pulled out material and clips from 2014 of Victoria Nuland and others to make his point. It was almost like I was listening to Democracy Now or The Grayzone.

He argued that American must stop doing this, that it's hypocritical given the US stand for democracy and the like.

It was refreshing to hear a Right-wing radio host (who has filled in for Rush Limbaugh no less) on Christian Radio not only refuting the policies of Biden but of the Bushes, Reagan, and just about every US president (including every Republican) going back to the time of William McKinley.

What a blessing to hear a Christian radio host de facto denouncing the Heritage Foundation and its role in crafting foreign policy especially during the Reagan era in places like Latin America and Africa.

Yes, Reagan and the Bushes were working at the behest of evil globalist bankers. Finally, someone had the integrity to say it.

But of course I am being facetious. Herman who has (it would seem) never expressed an original thought in his life was simply parroting the latest Trump line and the way his movement is framing the narrative around Ukraine. Broken clocks are right twice a day. There's no truth in Trump or any of his people - and certainly not on AFR. All their doing is promoting the White House line which at the moment wants to see the Ukraine war end. As such they are working to undo and undermine the Establishment narrative. This is not because Trump is a man of peace. Rather he is aligned with a faction that wants to flip Moscow into the Western camp and prepare for a massive war with China - and AFR and Herman are glad to help.

Herman is (it would seem) so ignorant of American history during the Cold War and after 9/11 that he makes such statements - and apparently the spiritually and intellectually lobotomized audience of AFR is on the same page. The US has engaged in this behaviour for generations and the very presidents they love most (such as Reagan) are some of the most egregious offenders.
Am I being insulting? Yes, I am because this is wicked and these liars need to be called out and denounced. They are leading people astray. They are blind guides. Someone has to say it - even if no one listens.

Later in the day while driving home I caught some segments of Tony Perkins (of Washington Watch) talking to some Israeli lunatic going on about globalists at work to undermine Netanyahu - it was they (so were told) who have stoked the protests against him in order to destroy Israel. There was a bunch of other nonsense about Neo-Marxists and how these people (which are all Western Capitalists it should be noted) were trying to implement or resurrect the ideology of the Soviet Union. The notion that Netanyahu is hopelessly corrupt and many blame him for bringing the nation to the brink of civil war cannot be considered by this crowd. The fact that he's manipulated the law, the judiciary, and that many in Israel believe that he was responsible for the war and its perpetuation - are topics that cannot be entertained. And we'll also ignore the fact that many of those who protest Israeli policy and its genocide in Gaza are in fact Jews. There's plenty of Anti-Semitism in the world but that's largely promoted on the Right. In fact just the day before on AFR I heard one of its hack-hosts promoting the notion of 'Demographic Jihad' in Europe - which was basically a re-naming of the Great Replacement Theory which is championed by the far right and fascists both in Europe and the United States. It's slogans were chanted in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Unite the Right rally in 2017 - which led to violence and death. Trump infamously refused to denounce the Neo-Nazis and suggested they were good people.

It would all be funny if it wasn't so tragic and destructive. I can only conclude that it's judgment on these people and this movement. Evangelicalism is being handed over. After listening to the many responses to Trump's congressional speech from Christians and on Christian Radio - I have no other conclusion.

Likewise there's a nearly viral clip being passed around of South Carolina congresswoman Nancy Mace berating the mayors of 'Sanctuary Cities'. The whole thing was obviously a GOP stunt. Her questions were not questions. They were a joke and I only wish one of the mayors had been courageous enough to call her out. I was dismayed (but not surprised) to see thousands of positive comments in praise of her supposed courage and integrity. The whole thing was embarrassing and like Trump's speech it was also a travesty. They should be ashamed. This is not to say that the Democrats are right - about anything. I am a Christian and will not be forced into these contrived and largely inane politicised boxes. Both parties and factions are clearly accursed and under judgment. Even when Trump rolls back some form of immorality, it's done immorally and wed to a greater ideology that's every bit as wicked as anything Biden, Pelosi, or Obama represents.

The empire is already handed over. This doesn't concern me as I have no stake in it. My concern is for the Church - it is drowning in lies and the fact that its leaders are praising the likes of Trump and Mace - and fill the airwaves with deceit and drivel - that's a cause for the gravest kind of concern.
