Media Cover-ups and Fragmentation over Gaza Policy

In some respects it seems like the situation in Gaza is getting less and less coverage even while the situation remains acute, with at least dozens dying every day, killed by bullets, bombs, starvation, or other forms of deprivation. The media is derelict and refuses to properly cover the story nor the fact that Israel has killed over two hundred journalists, and is clearly unwilling for anyone to do on the ground reporting.

How many know the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) whose mercenaries have played a large role in gunning down starving Palestinians (around 2,000 as of mid-August) seeking food is run by Johnnie Moore Jr. - a former Liberty University staff member and Trump-connected Evangelical?

Does the mainstream media report this? Are Christian news outlets reporting on this? Where's the outrage? Instead, what has happened is the few voices who dare to speak out, are attacked and slandered by the media - by means of the powerful Israeli propaganda machine. The truth is (as many have testified) these food distribution sites are designed to fail, designed to create chaos, and represent a plan for premeditated murder on the part of the IDF and certainly some of the mercenaries involved. Moore is directly involved in this and his hands are stained with Palestinian blood.

Tel-Aviv's narrative regarding stolen aid, and the fact that Hamas is to blame for the starvation is not only unsubstantiated but disproven. The Netanyahu Coalition are well-established liars and this episode is in keeping with that pattern.

The crisis is so dire and so obscene that even the Trump movement is starting to fragment. But I have to say things are pretty bad when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the moral voice, the person with a conscience. This simply testifies to the magnitude of the moral degradation and ethical collapse at work within American Evangelicalism.

And then we have the likes of Randy Fine, a Jewish GOP representative from Florida who celebrates starvation and clearly wants to see the Gaza Strip wiped clean as one would wash food from a dish. His rhetoric is extreme and yet if he was a Democrat speaking about some other group of people, the American Right would be all over it.

He calls for Gaza to be destroyed and nuked - invoking Hiroshima in the process. If he were a politician from any other country calling for this kind of action against a minority, the West (and its media) would be up in arms - but not when it comes to Israel and the Palestinians. In fact as biased as the BBC is at times, they're one of the few outlets that's even attempting to cover these stories.

Randy Fine is obviously a vile person, but the media is complicit and the Evangelical community (and especially serial liars such as Mike Huckabee) support these sentiments and as such they should be called to account by the Church. That this doesn't happen testifies to the fact that contemporary American Evangelicalism has largely succumbed to apostasy.

While Fine's rhetoric is obscene and disqualifies him from public office, Johnnie Moore Jr. should (after his excommunication) be put on trial for war crimes and mass murder. He is part of Israel's genocide, a partner and collaborator with the Butcher of Gaza. It no longer surprises me that Evangelicals support such people. They are as far removed from New Testament Christianity as is Rome or any of the other branches of Christianity that have functionally abandoned the apostolic faith.
