Of course he doesn't want to be identified!
With as many curses as the Internet has brought and all the
potentialities for government power, there are also the blessings and
opportunities.
The growing spectre of the surveillance state has little to
do with terrorism. This is about control. We are on the cusp of a new digital
age and in another 20 years much of our daily and social life will seem disconnected
and recognizable from say, the Cold War years. It's happening that fast.
The Elites are terrified of investigative journalism,
exposure, and the revelation of corporate activities in the developing world.
But they also tremble at the thought of alternative economies rising up to
challenge the protocols and mechanisms they've established. Bitcoin and other
such alternative ideas will be hunted and crushed. It's not always going to
make the news. Hosts of private contractors are labouring as we speak to wage cyber-warfare
and destroy voices and systems of dissent.
