A Power Grab Within the American Establishment

Who can see it? Everyone but the American public.

It's well established that the US military-intelligence community often works in tandem with American corporate interests. In fact it has been a deliberate though unstated policy to weave the financial, military and intelligence communities together into a seamless garment. They each supplement each other and work toward promoting American power. This is the wonder and dominance of American power. Only Rome approached this kind of comprehensive dominance but even the City on Seven Hills pales in comparison.

This cross-sector societal networking is not a perfect relationship. There are always rogue players and individual branches which seek to assert themselves. Everyone is looking to make money and gain power and will without hesitation stab each other in the back.

Who runs US policy? Does the US foreign policy serve business interests or is it the other way around? The answer of course is both. The relationship is symbiotic.

With the advent of the internet and its dominance by American corporations much of the world has found itself placed in an awkward situation. No one trusts the Americans and that's not without reason. The track record of deception is long and well documented.

The military-intelligence sector has made a bid for power in the post September 11 world and they've placed many American corporations in an awkward position. Instead of working together, these companies have had to compromise their own interests to further the interests of state power in both the domestic and international realms.

All was well until the leaks started to expose the nature of this relationship. And now not only have American based corporations felt betrayed but it has harmed the ability of American corporations to do business in the international market. Who is listening? Who can be trusted? What companies are compromised?

During the Cold War the United States employed thousands (the real number will never be known) of contract agents in the business world. These weren't properly trained spies. These were assets that fed information to the US government. I can only imagine how many there are today.

As depicted in many movies and books the 1990's were chaotic. Old allies were cast aside, and with the old polarity destroyed, the world took on an asymmetrical character.

After 2001, the focus is clear. The New World Order is an American World Order.

In our Brave New America the deception and deceit know no boundaries. Only in America does the government have the audacity to call out other nations for cyber-crimes and activities when the US itself is guilty three times over.
